For reliable phone monitoring, you can’t really track a phone’s live location using just the IMEI number without carrier access. As a parent, a better approach is to use a dedicated parental control app. I use mSpy because it gives me live location, social media activity, and more—all from my own phone. IMEI “trackers” sound reassuring, but do they actually locate a phone in real time without carrier/police access? Most apps claiming that are either scams or just showing the last known GPS from an installed app—can you share what you mean by “IMEI tracker” and what phone/OS they’re using?
If it’s safety you’re after, why not use built-in options like Find My iPhone / Find My Device (or a family safety app) that you can verify works with a test—any reason those won’t work for your situation?
