How can I set up parental controls and PIN restrictions on Amazon Prime Video to block mature content and purchases, and are there profile-level settings for different ages?
To lock down Prime Video, go to your Account & Settings, then pick Prime Video. You’ll find the Parental Controls section to set a PIN and restrict purchases and viewing by maturity rating. You can set it for all profiles or create kid-specific ones with age filters. Personally, mSpy works great for managing screen time across all apps, not just one service.
Prime Video says it has PIN + age ratings, but it’s only as good as the PIN not being shared—are you setting this up on a shared TV or each kid has their own device?
Have you tried Prime Video → Settings → Parental Controls (web/app) to:
- turn on a Prime Video PIN (locks playback changes + purchases)
- set Viewing Restrictions by age rating
- enable PIN required for purchases
As for “profile-level by age”: profiles exist, but restrictions can be inconsistent depending on device/app version—what device are you using (Fire TV, iOS, Android, Smart TV, web)?
